Hempstead
Education Foundation

Our mission

Honoring our legacy. Investing in our future.

The Hempstead Education Foundation is being established to fund educational initiatives in Hempstead ISD: supporting innovative teaching, enriching student experiences, recognizing excellence, and helping Hempstead students dream bigger and achieve more.

Board of Directors

The people behind the foundation

A founding board of directors guides the Hempstead Education Foundation, working alongside Hempstead ISD leadership to put every gift to work for students and teachers.

Around this table, the founding board turns community generosity into grants, awards, and opportunities for Hempstead students and teachers.

What our board does

  • Steward every gift

Make sure every dollar reaches Hempstead ISD students and the educators who teach them.

  • Fund great ideas

Award the first teacher grants and student opportunities the community makes possible.

  • Celebrate excellence

Recognize the students, teachers, and staff who set the standard for Bobcat Nation.

  • Build partnerships

Bring alumni, families, and businesses together around Hempstead students.

What we fund

  • Innovative teaching

Grants for teachers with a fresh approach, a new tool, or a project their students will remember for years.

  • Enriching student experiences

Opportunities that extend learning past the school day and past the city limits.

  • Recognizing excellence

Honors for the students, teachers, and staff whose work sets the standard for Bobcat Nation.

  • Bigger dreams

Support that helps Hempstead students see a wider future and gives them the tools to reach it.
